## About this wine

Domaine Les Bertrand is directed by Yann Bertrand alongside his parents Guy and Annick in Fleurie. The cuvée Morgon Dynamite comes from a single 1.16-hectare parcel situated in the Grand Pré lieu-dit, positioned directly on the boundary between Fleurie and Morgon. The vineyard features decomposed granitic sandstone soil and old Gamay bush vines ranging between 60 and over 110 years of age, cultivated organically and biodynamically according to the lunar calendar.

## Food pairing

The elevated natural acidity, bright fruit focus, and fine-grained tannin profile of Gamay complement savory meats and earth-driven dishes. The acidity cuts through rich proteins and charcuterie fats, while suppressing any perception of greasiness and highlighting earthy notes in mushrooms and herbs.

## Wine making process

Harvested manually in small 300 kg crates with strict sorting in the field. Vinification is executed naturally with indigenous yeasts using cold semi-carbonic maceration of whole uncrushed clusters at 10-12°C for 20 to 25 days. No punchdowns or pumpovers are performed, and no sulfites are added during fermentation. The wine ages for 7 to 9 months in neutral 225-liter oak barrels and 600-liter foudres before being bottled unfiltered and unfined with a natural wax seal.
