## About this wine

Weingut Heinrich is located in Gols in Austria's Burgenland region. Founded in 1990 by Gernot and Heike Heinrich, the estate transitioned to certified organic and biodynamic farming to produce authentic, site-expressive wines. The Naked line embodies their low-intervention philosophy, showcasing vibrant grape varieties grown on both sides of Lake Neusiedl without heavy processing or synthetic inputs.

## Interesting facts

- Produced by Gernot and Heike Heinrich, pioneers in Austria's biodynamic wine movement.
- Blends five grape varieties harvested from both the eastern and western shores of Lake Neusiedl.
- Macerated for two weeks on skins and aged in clay amphorae and neutral oak barrels.

## Food pairing

The subtle skin-contact tannins, vibrant acidity, and herbal notes allow this orange wine to cut through rich, fatty meats like duck and pork while balancing aromatic spices, washed-rind cheeses, and savory vegetable dishes.

## Wine making process

The grapes are hand-harvested from biodynamic vineyards across the Leithaberg and Parndorfer Platte sub-regions. Vinification involves spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and two weeks of skin contact in vats. The wine is aged for approximately 18 months on its lees in clay amphorae and large neutral oak barrels, then bottled unfiltered with minimal added sulfur dioxide.
