## Food pairing

The wine's medium body and subtle tannins make it versatile. Its bright acidity can cut through the richness of dishes like pork belly or duck, while its fruit-forward character complements earthy flavors found in lamb and root vegetables.

## Wine making process

The 2023 Punt Road Napoleone Vineyard Gamay is produced from hand-harvested grapes from Block 18 of the Napoleone vineyard, grown on alluvial clay soils. A portion of the grapes (15-30%) undergo whole bunch fermentation to add spice and complexity, while the rest are destemmed. The wine is then aged for seven months in old French oak puncheons, chosen to add texture without oak influence. The wine is bottled without fining.
