## About this wine

The Echeverría family has a rich history of farming in Chile dating back to 1740, transitioning to estate bottling in 1990 in the Curicó Valley. Winemaker Roberto Echeverría Jr. created the 'No Es Pituko' range to embrace raw vineyard expression without wood intervention or synthetic adjustments. The expression focuses on historic, ungrafted vines of País—the original Vitis vinifera variety introduced to South America in the 16th century—offering an unpretentious look at Chilean heritage viticulture.

## Interesting facts

- 'No Es Pituko' is Chilean slang translating to 'It ain't fancy' or 'not pretentious'.
- País was the very first Vitis vinifera grape variety brought by Spanish missionaries to the Americas in the 16th century.
- Viña Echeverría was the first family-owned Chilean winery to export directly to Harrods in London.

## Food pairing

The high natural acidity and subtle texture of this unfiltered dry rosé cut clean through oily seafood and creamy dips. Light fruit character pairs effortlessly with fresh vegetables, herbs, and delicate proteins without overpowering their subtle flavors.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested in 18 kg boxes from micro-plots in Molina, the grapes undergo spontaneous wild yeast fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for 25 days. Skin contact is kept brief with minimal pump-overs to achieve a delicate pink tint. The wine undergoes natural malolactic fermentation and ages on fine lees in stainless steel before bottling completely unfined, unfiltered, and without any added sulfur dioxide.
