## About this wine

Domaine Lamé Delisle Boucard is a historic fifth-generation family estate established in 1869 in Ingrandes-de-Touraine in the Loire Valley. Managed today by siblings Philippe and Stéphanie Boucard, the estate spans 44 hectares of organically farmed vineyards. Nom de Zeus is a playful cuvée created by the younger generation as a natural-leaning expression of Loire Cabernet Franc, named after the iconic French exclamation popularized by Doc Brown in Back to the Future.

## Interesting facts

- The cuvée name Nom de Zeus is a famous French exclamation popularized by Doc Brown in Back to the Future.
- Domaine Lamé Delisle Boucard features ancient underground cellars holding private reserve vintages back to 1911.
- Dissolved carbon dioxide from fermentation is deliberately retained to minimize the need for sulfur additions.

## Food pairing

This light to medium-bodied Cabernet Franc thrives alongside simple, savory fare. Its vibrant acidity easily cuts through charcuterie and pork fats, while gentle tannins harmonize effortlessly with poultry and soft cheeses without overpowering subtle flavors.

## Wine making process

Organically farmed Cabernet Franc grapes are hand-harvested from gravel and clay-siliceous soils. The whole clusters undergo partial semi-carbonic maceration at cool temperatures in stainless steel and concrete tanks without added sulfites during fermentation. Naturally produced carbon dioxide is preserved during racking to protect the wine against oxidation, locking in fresh fruit character prior to early bottling.
