## About this wine

Crafted by Martin and Anna Arndorfer in the Kamptal region of Austria, this bottling showcases the couple's commitment to low-intervention winemaking and soil-driven expressions. Sourced from organic vineyards around Straß im Straßertale planted on loess, gravel, and weathered Gföhler gneiss soils, this wine offers an accessible yet deeply characterful entry point into skin-contact styles.

## Interesting facts

- Bottled in a 1-liter format designed for casual sharing.
- Combines extended skin contact with Kamptal's hallmark high acidity.
- Martin and Anna Arndorfer both hail from historic winemaking families in Niederösterreich.

## Food pairing

The gentle skin tannins, rich texture, and vibrant acidity of skin-contact orange wine allow it to bridge white and red wine pairing roles. It balances umami-rich vegetables, savory roasted meats, light spice, and nutty aged cheeses exceptionally well.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested grapes undergo spontaneous whole-bunch and whole-berry fermentation using indigenous yeasts. The wine remains on its skins for 10 to 30 days to extract color and soft phenolic structure. It ferments and ages in a combination of stainless steel tanks and large neutral oak casks, undergoing natural malolactic fermentation before being bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal added sulfur.
