## About this wine

Oreads Rosé takes its name from the mountain nymphs of Greek mythology who dwelled in the ravines and slopes of Mount Olympus. Produced by Stergios Papras and his family in Tyrnavos, Thessaly, this cuvée comes from organically farmed Black Muscat vines planted in 1991. Stergios Papras, a pioneer winemaker and former president of the local cooperative, was instrumental in bringing national recognition to Black Muscat of Tyrnavos and establishing the region as a premier hub for organic viticulture.

## Interesting facts

- Named after Oreads, the ancient Greek mountain nymphs who inhabited the slopes of Mount Olympus.
- Crafted using extended skin contact and partial stem re-inclusion in small 600L steel vessels.
- The Papras family estate was among the very first in Greece to receive official organic certification in 1990.

## Food pairing

The wine's vibrant acidity, exuberant floral and fruit aromatics, and subtle tactile skin-contact grip make it exceptionally versatile. It effortlessly cuts through richness while complementing aromatic herbs, light meats, and spicy dishes.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested from certified organic vineyards on limestone-dominant soils at the foothills of Mount Olympus. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in small 600-liter stainless steel tanks with 7 to 14 days of skin maceration. Half of the whole stems are reintroduced into the tank during fermentation and removed upon completion. The wine completes malolactic fermentation naturally and rests for 30 days in steel tanks before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal added sulfites.
