## About this wine

Panda is a vibrant, energetic rosato crafted by Lammidia, a cult natural winery located in Villa Celiera, Abruzzo. Founded by childhood friends Davide Gentile and Marco Giuliani, Lammidia operates under the strict philosophy of 'uva e basta' (grapes and nothing else). Their vineyards, nestled in the dramatic Apennine foothills, benefit from high altitudes and dramatic diurnal temperature shifts. Panda represents their playful, low-intervention approach, capturing the raw, untamed spirit of Abruzzo's terroir without any chemical additions, fining, or filtration.

## Interesting facts

- Lammidia's motto is 'Uva e basta' which translates to 'Grapes and nothing else', reflecting their strict zero-additive philosophy.
- The winery's name, Lammidia, comes from the local Abruzzese dialect word for 'the envy' or 'evil eye', which grandmother Antonia cured with a ritual.
- The iconic panda on the label represents the wine's playful, friendly, and slightly wild character.

## Food pairing

This high-acid, low-alcohol natural rosato thrives alongside light, fresh, and savory dishes. Its vibrant acidity cuts beautifully through the fat of cured meats and cheeses, while its clean, mineral finish complements fresh seafood and light Mediterranean vegetable dishes without overpowering them.

## Wine making process

Panda is made from 100% hand-harvested red grapes. The grapes undergo a short maceration on the skins to extract its signature bright pink hue before a gentle pressing. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeasts in concrete vats, with no temperature control. The wine is aged on its fine lees in concrete tanks to retain its fresh, fruit-forward character. It is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with zero added sulfur dioxide, preserving its natural vitality.
