## About this wine

Domaine Tessier was established in 1961 by Roger Tessier in the Cheverny AOC of the Loire Valley. Philippe Tessier took over in 1981, pioneering low-intervention winemaking and guiding the estate to organic certification in 1998. Today, the 26-hectare estate is managed by third-generation vignerons Simon and Marie Tessier. Situated between the Sologne, Cheverny, and Chambord forest massifs, the cooler microclimate and silico-clay soils foster wines with vibrant acidity and distinct mineral focus.

## Interesting facts

- Domaine Tessier has been certified organic since 1998, making it an early pioneer in the Cheverny appellation.
- The estate sits near three major forest massifs, creating a distinct cool microclimate for Loire viticulture.
- The winery is currently managed by third-generation siblings Simon and Marie Tessier.

## Food pairing

The lively acidity and bright red fruit core of Cheverny Rosé make it an exceptionally versatile pairing partner for light meats, charcuterie, and fresh goat cheese. High natural acidity cuts through rich cheeses while complementing fresh summer salads and light fish dishes.

## Wine making process

Harvested by hand with strict sorting, the grapes undergo direct pneumatic pressing followed by spontaneous fermentation driven entirely by indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats. Winemaking avoids chaptalization, commercial yeasts, or heavy fining. The wine ages in stainless steel tanks over the winter and spring to retain purity of fruit and freshness, receiving minimal sulfur additions prior to bottling.
