## About this wine

Domaine Viret, located in Saint-Maurice-sur-Eygues in the Southern Rhône Valley, is renowned for pioneering Cosmoculture®, a bio-energetic agricultural approach combining organic and biodynamic principles with Earth's natural magnetic alignments. The winery itself was constructed over ancient Roman ruins using massive local quarry stones arranged in natural geological orientation. Renaissance is the estate's flagship red cuvée, crafted from vines averaging 50 years of age grown on pebbly red clay, limestone, and sandstone soils.

## Interesting facts

- Domaine Viret holds the patent for Cosmoculture®, an agricultural system based on natural bio-energetics and telluric currents.
- The winery was built from massive Roman quarry stones aligned precisely with local magnetic fields.
- First created in 1999, Renaissance was the very first red cuvée produced at Domaine Viret.

## Food pairing

The generous body, structured tannins, and fresh acidity of this Southern Rhône red require rich, savory dishes. Succulent red meats and game soften the tannin structure, while earthy mushroom and truffle preparations seamlessly match the wine's tertiary aromatic notes.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested at optimal maturity, the grapes undergo natural spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in concrete vats (cuve béton). Winemaking follows low-intervention principles with an extended maceration period of 45 days. The wine ages entirely in concrete vats without added sulfur dioxide and is bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve purity and vibrancy.
