## About this wine

Meinklang is a family-run estate situated in Pamhagen, Burgenland, on the eastern side of Lake Neusiedl, right near the Hungarian border. Operating as a fully integrated Demeter-certified biodynamic polyculture farm, the Michlits family manages cattle herds alongside wild meadows, ancient grain fields, and fruit orchards. The farm produces its own natural compost and operates as a self-sustaining ecosystem. The Prosa cuvée reflects the estate's commitment to low-intervention viticulture and lively, accessible expressions of Austrian indigenous and classic grape varieties.

## Wine making process

Grapes are hand-harvested early in September from cool, sandy loam soils to retain high natural acidity. Primary fermentation is carried out spontaneously using indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks following brief skin contact to achieve its vibrant hue. To create gentle frizzante effervescence, the wine undergoes a controlled secondary fermentation in pressurized stainless steel tanks (Charmat method). The wine is bottled un-fined with minimal added sulfur and sealed with a crown cap.
