## About this wine

Silvio Nardi purchased the Casale del Bosco estate in Montalcino in 1950, releasing his first Brunello long before the region achieved global recognition. He was a founding member of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino in 1967. Today, his daughter Emilia Nardi leads the estate, focusing on clonal selection and sustainable vineyard management across their distinct terroirs.

## Interesting facts

- Silvio Nardi was one of the founding members of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino in 1967.
- Often referred to as a 'Mini Brunello', it offers immediate drinkability with authentic Sangiovese structure.
- The estate conducts extensive micro-vinification across its Casale del Bosco and Manachiara vineyards.

## Food pairing

The crisp acidity and velvety tannins of Sangiovese cut effortlessly through rich fats and meats. Earthy herbs, tomato-based sauces, and aged pecorino mirror the wine's natural savory and red-fruit core.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested in late September, the Sangiovese grapes undergo pre-fermentation maceration followed by temperature-controlled fermentation on the skins for at least 18 days in stainless steel. The wine is aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks and Slavonian/French oak casks, followed by bottle refinement.
