## About this wine

Saint Louis Chardonnay is an organic white wine from Château Saint Louis in the Sud-Ouest region of France, specifically the IGP Comté Tolosan. The estate is situated on the ancient terraces of the Tarn, near Toulouse, and is committed to a philosophy of respecting the terroir through a blend of traditional and modern winemaking. The vineyard benefits from boulbène and sandy loam soils with clay at depth, and vines average 25-35 years old. The wine's production aims to achieve a level of finesse and complexity comparable to white wines from more established French regions. Giertz Vinimport, a leading Swedish wine importer, distributes this wine.

## Food pairing

The wine's round body and medium acidity provide a good balance for richer dishes, while its subtle fruit notes complement seafood and poultry. The hazelnut and spice notes from oak aging can echo flavors in certain cheeses and roasted dishes.

## Wine making process

The winemaking process for Saint Louis Chardonnay begins with a manual harvest. The grapes undergo pneumatic pressing, followed by maceration on fine lees. Fermentation takes place in thermo-regulated vessels at low temperatures. Malolactic fermentation is carried out, and 80% of the wine is aged for four months in French oak barrels. The wine is classified as Vin de Pays du Comté Tolosan (IGP Comté Tolosan).
