## About this wine

Antony Tortul founded La Sorga in 2008 in Montagnac, Languedoc. Operating as a haute couture négociant, Tortul sources grapes from old-vine organic and biodynamic vineyards across Southern France. Sorgasme is crafted from low-yielding vines rooted in volcanic basaltic loam soils in Adissan, embodying his radical philosophy of zero-intervention natural winemaking.

## Interesting facts

- The estate name La Sorga translates to 'the source' in Occitan.
- Winemaker Antony Tortul co-created and designed the iconic 'Brutal!!!' natural wine label.
- Crafted with zero added sulfites from old vines yielding a tiny 21 hl/ha.

## Food pairing

The vibrant, electric acidity and delicate skin-contact phenolic texture of this orange wine cut through rich aromatic spices and light fats, making it exceptionally well-suited for spicy Southeast Asian flavors, fresh acidic seafood dishes, and tangy goat cheeses.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested from old vines with low yields of 21 hl/ha, the grapes undergo a hybrid vinification process combining amphora and jar skin maceration with direct-pressed juice. Fermentation is spontaneous using indigenous yeasts without temperature control. Aged for 10 months in neutral stainless steel and fiberglass tanks, the wine is bottled unfined, unfiltered, and without added sulfites.
