## About this wine

Tenuta del Buonamico, owned by the Fontana family, is located in Cercatoia within the historic winemaking municipality of Montecarlo in Lucca, Tuscany. Named 'Particolare' (Italian for particular or special), this cuvée represents an innovative departure for a region historically focused on still wines by creating a refined sparkling rosé from traditional Tuscan red grape varieties.

## Interesting facts

- Debuted in 2011 with an initial micro-production of only 2,000 bottles before gaining international recognition.
- Crafted using traditional Tuscan red grapes Sangiovese and Syrah processed through white vinification.
- Named 'Particolare' to celebrate the unique decision to craft sparkling wine in still-wine focused Montecarlo.

## Food pairing

The lively acidity and fine, energetic mousse of this sparkling rosé seamlessly cut through the delicate fats of white fish and seafood while standing up well to savory vegetable appetizers.

## Wine making process

The wine is produced using white vinification of red Sangiovese and Syrah grapes. Secondary fermentation takes place using the Charmat (Martinotti) method in temperature-controlled pressurized stainless steel autoclaves with selected yeasts over 4 to 6 months. After fermentation, the wine is filtered, kept in autoclaves for additional maturation, and aged in bottle for 60 days prior to release.
