## About this wine

Weingut Prackfol, managed by Patrick and Petra Planer, has roots extending back to the 17th century in Völs am Schlern, South Tyrol. Situated beneath the dramatic Dolomites in the Eisacktal, the estate cultivates steep high-altitude vineyards between 550 and 650 meters above sea level. The volcanic quartz porphyry soils combined with intense alpine diurnal shifts allow the estate to produce precise, terroir-driven white wines.

## Interesting facts

- Vineyards are planted on steep slopes with gradients reaching up to 60 percent.
- The estate benefits from 'Eislöcher', natural cool mountain air streams.
- Prackfoler Hof has a historical legacy in South Tyrol extending back to the 17th century.

## Food pairing

The vibrant acidity and crisp minerality of this alpine Sauvignon Blanc slice through creamy sauces and soft goat cheeses, while its floral and citrus aromatics enhance freshwater fish and spring herb dishes.

## Wine making process

Grapes are hand-picked with strict selection in the vineyard. Following a brief cold maceration on the skins, the juice undergoes slow, temperature-controlled fermentation in concrete tanks and stainless steel. The wine is aged on fine lees for several months in concrete and stainless steel tanks to build texture while retaining vibrant freshness and mineral tension.
