## About this wine

Swick Wines is led by Joe Swick, a fifth-generation Oregonian who gained international harvest experience before returning to the Pacific Northwest to focus on minimal-intervention wines. Although the winery operates out of Newberg, Oregon, fruit for this cuvée is sourced from Konnowac Vineyard in Washington State's Rattlesnake Hills AVA. Situated on a high-elevation sandy hilltop site, the vineyard benefits from dramatic diurnal temperature shifts, allowing the grapes to retain vibrant freshness while reaching full ripeness.

## Interesting facts

- Sourced from Konnowac Vineyard in Washington, though made in Oregon.
- Aged in concrete and large neutral oak ovals instead of steel tanks.
- Crafted with zero chemical additives, unfined, and unfiltered.

## Food pairing

The high natural acidity and mineral-driven character of this white wine cut through creamy goat cheese and rich shellfish, while echoing bright citrus and herbal preparations.

## Wine making process

Organically grown grapes are harvested manually and directly pressed upon arrival at the winery. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with ambient native yeasts without additives. The wine undergoes aging in a combination of concrete tanks and 2,000-liter neutral oval oak casks, which softens the texture and allows subtle micro-oxygenation without imparting oak flavor. The finished wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal added sulfur dioxide.
