## About this wine

Founded in 2020 by Benoît Joussot-Dubien, Les Terres Dubien spans three hectares of scattered old-vine parcels in the northern Médoc near the Gironde estuary. In a region traditionally known for heavy extraction and prominent oak influence, Benoît focuses on natural, low-intervention winemaking designed to showcase the raw elegance, limestone minerality, and vibrant freshness of the northern Médoc terroir.

## Interesting facts

- Grapes come from massal selection vines planted in the 1960s in Saint-Yzans-du-Médoc.
- The estate uses custom herbal infusions to drastically reduce reliance on copper and sulfur sprays.
- The wine is bottled completely unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions.

## Food pairing

The lively acidity and fine-grained tannins of this low-intervention Bordeaux blend cleanly cut through the richness of roasted meats and duck fat, while its underlying earthy and herbal characteristics integrate seamlessly with wild mushrooms and cured meats.

## Wine making process

Sourced from 1960s massal selection old vines grown on calcareous limestone, grapes are hand-harvested and vinified naturally with 100% native yeasts. Grapes are destemmed and undergo gentle maceration without mechanical pumps to avoid extraction of bitter tannins. The wine matures for 18 months split between stainless steel tanks and old neutral oak barrels before being bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal added sulfur.
