## About this wine

The Terre del Barolo Langhe Nebbiolo 2022 is a red wine from the Langhe DOC in Piedmont, Italy, made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes. The producer, Terre del Barolo, is a cooperative founded in 1958 by Arnaldo Rivera, uniting over 300 local grape growers. This cooperative structure allows for a collective approach to quality and a deep connection to the diverse terroirs of the Langhe region. As a Langhe Nebbiolo, this wine is often considered a more approachable expression of the Nebbiolo grape, offering an earlier glimpse into its characteristic potential compared to more age-worthy appellations.

## Interesting facts

- Cooperative represents over 300 families.
- Langhe DOC is a gateway to Nebbiolo's complexity.
- Nebbiolo is known for its thin skins and late ripening.
- Founded by a teacher and mayor.

## Food pairing

The wine's high acidity and firm tannins are well-suited to cut through the richness of fatty meats and complement the protein. Earthy notes in the wine can harmonize with mushroom and truffle dishes, while its fruit profile can balance savory elements.

## Wine making process

The Terre del Barolo Langhe Nebbiolo 2022 is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes harvested between September 15th and October 5th. Fermentation occurs at controlled temperatures (24-28°C) for 15-20 days. Following fermentation, the wine is aged for 10 months in large Slavonian oak casks. It then undergoes a further 3 months of bottle aging before release.
