## About this wine

Unturned Stone Productions was founded by Erin Mitchell and Randy Czech in Santa Rosa, California. They focus on organic, biodynamic, and minimal intervention winemaking sourced from distinct vineyard sites across Sonoma and Mendocino counties. The Hatchling comes from Vecino Vineyard, situated on a south-facing slope in Potter Valley near the headwaters of the Russian River, farmed biodynamically by Luke Miller.

## Interesting facts

- Made from Sauvignon Musqué, an aromatic mutant clone of Sauvignon Blanc planted in the late 1980s.
- Fermented and raised entirely in plastic egg-shaped tanks to retain pure fruit purity without oak.
- Farmed using CCOF Certified Organic and biodynamic practices in cool-climate Potter Valley.

## Food pairing

The wine's bright acidity and energetic citrus and stone fruit profile easily cut through rich cheeses and delicate seafood fats while complementing aromatic herbs and light spices.

## Wine making process

Crafted from whole-cluster pressed Sauvignon Musqué grapes, a highly aromatic clone of Sauvignon Blanc. The wine undergoes minimal intervention winemaking, fermenting to dryness and aging in plastic egg-shaped tanks without oak influence. It is bottled fresh shortly after fermentation finishes, unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur added.
