## About this wine

Weingut Thörle is located in Saulheim in the heart of Germany's Rheinhessen region. Brothers Johannes and Christoph Thörle took over leadership of their historic family estate in 2006, committing to organic viticulture and a focus on terroir-driven wines from limestone-rich soils. Their Blanc de Blancs Sekt represents a dedication to crafting premium German Winzersekt using traditional Champagne-inspired techniques and long bottle maturation.

## Interesting facts

- Base wines undergo 100% primary fermentation in 500-liter French oak barrels.
- Aged for a full 36 months on the lees in bottle before riddling by hand.
- Crafted from certified organic limestone vineyards in Saulheim, Rheinhessen.

## Food pairing

The fine perlage and lively acidity cut through rich seafood and delicate fats, while the autolytic depth harmonizes perfectly with shellfish, roasted poultry, and soft cheeses.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested organically grown grapes (53% Chardonnay and 47% Pinot Blanc) are pressed gently and fermented entirely in 500-liter French oak barrels (tonneaux). Secondary fermentation takes place in the bottle following the traditional method. The sparkling wine ages on its fine lees for 36 months before manual riddling and disgorgement.
