## About this wine

Davide Xodo returned home to Vicenza in 2018 after gaining 15 years of experience across Chianti Classico, Bierzo, and France. He leased and revitalized old vineyards in Nanto on the eastern slopes of the Colli Berici in Veneto. Tre Campane represents his single-vineyard Syrah expression, sourced from old vines planted in 1950 in cool limestone-rich silt-clay soils surrounded by forest.

## Interesting facts

- Made from ancient Syrah vines planted back in 1950 in the Colli Berici region.
- Extremely micro-production with only 648 bottles produced for the 2021 vintage.
- Aged uniquely in acacia wood barrels rather than traditional oak.

## Food pairing

The vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins of this limestone-driven Syrah easily cut through rich, fatty meats such as lamb and duck, while its dark floral and savory aromatic complexity pairs beautifully with game, wild mushrooms, and warm aromatic spices.

## Wine making process

Harvested entirely by hand in small wooden crates, the grapes undergo 14 days of spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts on skins without temperature control. The wine is gently pressed using a vertical hydraulic press and aged for 7 months in acacia wood barrels. Bottled unfined, unclarified, and unfiltered, with only minimal sulfur added when necessary.
