## About this wine

Unturned Stone Productions was founded in 2010 by Erin Mitchell and Randy Czech under a philosophy that great wine is grown in the vineyard. Operating with organic farming practices and minimal intervention, they aim to produce transparent expressions of unique Northern California sites. The Spider Chase series focuses on exceptional high-elevation coastal vineyards. The Perli Vineyard sits at 2,000 feet elevation within the Mendocino Ridge AVA—North America's famous 'islands in the sky' appellation where vineyards must be planted above 1,200 feet to qualify.

## Wine making process

Grown on steep, nutrient-poor broken sandstone soils, the grapes are hand-harvested from low-yielding Chardonnay selections. Vinification is executed naturally with indigenous wild yeasts in small batches. The wine is aged on its fine lees prior to bottling to build rich mouthfeel and texture naturally without heavy wood influence. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered with a minimal sulfur addition of 15 ppm.
