The 2019 vintage is certified vegan.

- Dry-farmed vines with roots reaching deep for water.
- Certified organic and biodynamic farming.
- Uses Norwegian Fjord horses in vineyard work.

## Food pairing

The wine's full body and firm tannins are well-suited to complement the protein and fat in red meats, creating a balanced palate. The wine's inherent fruit notes can echo or contrast with savory herbs and earthy vegetables, enhancing the overall dining experience.

## Wine making process

The Vigno Odfjell Carignan 2019 is produced using 100% Carignan grapes. The winemaking process involves a six-day cold maceration followed by a six-day fermentation, with native and selected yeasts utilized. Post-fermentation maceration lasts for 15 days, and the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation. It is aged for 16 to 22 months in French oak barrels, both new and used. Minimal intervention is a guiding principle throughout the winemaking.
