Chicos Blanc is a Vin de France natural white wine produced by Domaine Julien Pineau in the Loire Valley. Julien Pineau established his estate in Mareuil-sur-Cher in 2015, taking over parcels from the revered Clos Roche Blanche estate. The 'Chicos' cuvée originated in 2021 as a négoce project following severe frost and mildew outbreaks that damaged estate crops. By sourcing organic grapes from trusted vigneron friends in Touraine, Pineau created an approachable, vibrant addition to his portfolio that has since become a permanent fixture.

## Wine making process

The 2024 vintage is crafted from 100% organically farmed Sauvignon Blanc grown on clay-limestone soils in Touraine. Grapes are hand-harvested and subjected to direct pressing of whole bunches. Spontaneous fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts and zero enological additions. The wine matures for approximately 12 months in a combination of neutral oak barrels (two-thirds) and stainless steel tanks (one-third). It is bottled unfined with light filtration and minimal to zero added sulfur dioxide.
