## About this wine

This white wine is crafted exclusively for Pingo Doce's premium Seleccionado Exclusivo range in partnership with Global Wines S.A. Originating from the renowned Dão region in central Portugal, the vines grow in high-altitude granite soils sheltered by the Serra da Estrela, Serra do Buçaco, and Serra do Caramulo mountain ranges. Selected through rigorous blind tastings led by oenologist Frederico Vilar Gomes, this bottling represents an exceptional value expression of Dão terroir.

## Interesting facts

- Encruzado is widely regarded as the queen white grape variety of Portugal's Dão region.
- Vineyards are sheltered by three major mountain ranges: Serra da Estrela, Serra do Buçaco, and Serra do Caramulo.
- Selected for Pingo Doce's premium line through blind tasting panels requiring at least 80+ points.

## Food pairing

The vibrant natural acidity and rich texture from French oak maturation complement rich seafood, soft mountain cheeses, and white meats without overpowering delicate flavors.

## Wine making process

Made from 100% Encruzado grapes harvested in high-altitude mountain vineyards. Fermentation is conducted under temperature control to retain fresh varietal expression, followed by 6 months of maturation in French oak barrels to impart structural depth and subtle oak nuance.
