## About this wine

Whisper Path Cellars is an urban craft winery based in San Antonio, Texas, founded by Jesse and Kyn Villarreal alongside their family. The winery is dedicated to crafting small-lot wines made entirely from 100% Texas-grown grapes sourced from high-elevation vineyards. This single-vineyard bottling originates from the Crooked Post Vineyard located in the renowned Texas High Plains AVA.

## Interesting facts

- Founder Jesse Villarreal practiced home winemaking as a Master Electrician for over 20 years before opening commercially in 2017.
- Fully produced and bottled inside an urban industrial warehouse space in San Antonio, Texas.
- Awarded a Silver Medal at the 2024 Houston Rodeo Uncorked! International Wine Competition.

## Food pairing

Tempranillo's smooth medium tannins, dark stone fruit profile, and cracked pepper spice complement rich red meats, pork chops, cured charcuterie, and savory tomato-based sauces. The acidity cuts through rich cheeses like aged Manchego while mirroring herbal notes.

## Wine making process

Grapes were harvested from Crooked Post Vineyard on August 23, 2020, at 24.1° Brix. Upon delivery to the urban winery in San Antonio, the clusters were crushed, destemmed, fermented, aged, and bottled direct on-site in small lots.
