## About this wine

Fifth-generation winemakers Daniel and Jonas Brand produce this vibrant natural wine at Weingut Brand in Bockenheim, Northern Pfalz. After taking over operations, the brothers transitioned their family estate to organic and biodynamic farming, creating the 'Pur' line of zero-additive wines. The bottle features artwork hand-drawn by their grandmother, Oma Helga, reflecting their playful, authentic approach to modern German winemaking.

## Interesting facts

- The whimsical bottle label was hand-illustrated by the winemakers' grandmother, Oma Helga.
- Winemakers Daniel and Jonas Brand jokingly refer to this cuvée as their alcoholic cloudy lemonade.
- This cuvée is a field blend where multiple grape varieties are grown and harvested together.

## Food pairing

The wine's bright acidity and energetic structure slice through fried and oily foods while highlighting citrus and herbal notes in salads, seafood, and spiced rice dishes.

## Wine making process

Organically and biodynamically grown grapes are hand-harvested and foot-stomped parcel-by-parcel. Vinification combines direct pressing, short skin contact, and whole-bunch infusions. Fermentation occurs spontaneously using native airborne yeasts in stainless steel tanks and old neutral oak barrels. The wine matures on its fine lees until bottling without fining, filtration, or added sulfur.
