## About this wine

Spinning Wheel Wines was founded in 2022 by Perry Conner, Peter Szilagyi, and Alyssa Anderson to craft low-intervention wines highlighting Mid-Atlantic terroir. Working with hybrid grape varieties sourced from regional vineyards, the project explores creative co-fermentations. You Can Have It All is an expressive skin-contact bottling made from fruit grown at Zephaniah Vineyards in Loudoun County, Virginia, planted on ancient greenstone soils.

## Interesting facts

- Crafted using a blend of 75% direct-pressed fruit with 25% overnight foot-tread skin contact.
- Sourced from Zephaniah Vineyards in Loudoun County, Virginia, planted on greenstone soils.
- Aged on full fermentation lees in older French oak barriques and bottled unfined and unfiltered.

## Food pairing

The light phenolic grip and bright natural acidity cut through rich animal fats and creamy textures, while its savory lees character perfectly matches umami-rich mushrooms, roasted brassicas, and smoked cheeses.

## Wine making process

Hand-harvested in late August 2024, the hybrid grapes were co-fermented using native yeasts. A 75% portion of whole clusters was direct-pressed on harvest day, while 25% underwent overnight foot-treading maceration before pressing to build texture. The wine fermented and aged on full lees in neutral French oak barriques (at least seven years old) until May. It was bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur additions.
